East Ayrshire Community Library Visits

Clark visited FIVE East Ayrshire Community Libraries, Crosshouse, Hurlford & Darvel on Monday, 28th November, and Cumnock & Stewarton on Thursday, 1st December to meet library members in an event organised by by East Ayrshire Community Librarian, Hugh McLean.

Attendance was varied, however there was a lively Q&A session at Crosshouse and a stimulating discussion with the local reading group at Darvel. The visits culminated with Clark meeting the Chairman of the Council Community Services, Councillor John O'Neill at Stewarton Library.

Brass & Granite Book Reading & Signing
On Tuesday, October 4th 2005,
Brass & Granite Pub in Grange Street, Kilmarnock hosted an OUTSIDE IN Evening.

Although this event was not particularly well attended, the reading of an excerpt of Outside In was well received and Clark managed to sell (and sign) a few books.

The evening concluded with Clark and Mairin having an informal chat about Outside In and books in general with all the participants while tucking into the sandwiches & sausage rolls provided by pub landlord Jamie Sharp.
